· have full bladder during transabdominal and transrectal examination. You do not need to fill your bladder in TRUS;
· make a cleansing enema before TRUS (for 1.5-2 hours before);
· being tested on an empty stomach.
On women of reproductive age, ultrasound is performed on the 5-8th day from the beginning of the cycle. Obstetric examination is carried out once in each trimester of gestation. Some gynecological pathologies require certain terms, which the doctor informs the patient about.
